May 5 & 7 — Container Gardens
Learn how to combine, annuals, herbs or vegetables. Add sparkle to your entrance, patio or deck and enhance your entry or bring butterflies and hummingbirds to your doorstep. Bring your own container, a photo or select a container on site for individual suggestions.

May 12 & 14 — Plan, Prep and Plant
Need suggestions for starting a vegetable garden or taking on a garden project? Learn some basics about getting started, amending soil, working within a budget, and selecting the right plants? These two classes will provide tips to help you plan and execute your project.

May 19 & 21 — Small Intensive Vegetable and Flower Gardens, You Don't Need an Acre
Learn about 4-foot square garden spaces and easy to make raised beds for intensive mixed vegetable and flower planting. Bed layout and planting examples will be available for small kitchen gardens.

May 26 & 28 — Eight Essential Herbs to Grow for Cooking
Basil, Chives, Dill, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme. Learn how to grow, harvest, preserve and use these herbs in Vinegars, Oils, Sauces, Salads and more. Tasting and recipes provided.
Tuesday: Vinegars & Herb Dipping Oils.
Thursday: Sauces & Salads.
June 2 & 4 — Myths about Sun and Shade Plants.
The sun changes position in the sky from spring to fall and trees leaf out turning sunny spring gardens to shade gardens. Many plants that are touted for Sun or Shade will adapt to either with a bit of discretion. Bring your questions and learn how to grow a variety of plants where you want them.

June 9 & 11 — Iris, Clematis and Tree Peonies
Among my favorite flowers are those of Iris, Clematis, and Tree Peonies. Learn about the different varieties of these delightful flowering plants, how to plant them, their care, and pruning tips.
Tuesday: Iris Siberian, Japanese, German and more.
Thursday: Clematis and Tree Peonies
June 16 & 18 — Freeze, Dry and Preserve your Harvest
Enjoy sun-dried tomatoes and Easy Freeze Jams and Veggies from your garden, or purchased produce. Discussion will include quick, easy methods to save and enjoy your harvest beyond summer.
Tuesday: Blanch & Freeze
Thursday: Food Dehydration methods will be presented.
June 23 & 25 — Extend your Harvest
Some "root crops" can be mulched in the garden and harvested through winter; others can be stored in cool, dry areas with ventilation. Learn which crops are sweeter or tastier after frosts.
