Duties/Requirements:

• Report to work rested and ready to work with professional, clean dress and a positive attitude.
• Report for work on time for assigned shift

• Greet customers upon entry to the store in a cordial and appropriate manner.
• Provide immediate and excellent customer service.
• Move boxes that weigh up to 60 pounds many times throughout the day
• Keep shelves & displays clean, rotated, and stocked. Maintain correct signage and pricing.
• Work in the front of the store stocking/ helping customers & the back of the store in the prep room or the cooler
• Use salesmanship to sell the best products of the season to our customers.
• Build a rapport with customers
• Prioritize when many tasks need to be accomplished at the same time
• Identify when work items are of an urgent nature and work at a pace that will get them completed quickly.
• Assist with product demonstrations and sampling.
• Maintain supplies, back stock rooms, and coolers.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of floral area and equipment.
• Maintain safety, handling & storage standards.
• Minimum three year experience in industry or equivalent.
• Strong product knowledge of buying area of Floral, Chocolates, & Gift Sets.
• Purchase all products for the floral department.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Provide only the freshest and high quality cut flower and plant selections.
• Communicate new product information to team members during meetings.
• Process invoices and returns.
• Participate in inventory and sales change over.
• Assist with scheduling of demonstrations.
• Work up to a maximum of 8-10 hours per day.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.
• Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
• Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 67 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to learn and know products by sight and know plu codes.
• Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds unassisted.
• Effectively communicate with Team Members and other leadership members.
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant Plum Market policies and standards.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.

Other Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position must be detail oriented and be willing to work full time (40 hrs).  This candidate should be available to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings.  Candidates for this position must be drug free.
