Produce Station Catering Policies and Guidelines

Our Guarantee
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase from The Produce Station let us know and we will make it right. Your complete satisfaction is our goal.  Call Our Catering Team 734.663.7010

Alcoholic Beverage Purchases
As a service to our clients, we will order, pickup, and deliver alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, champagne) to an event location. Payment for all catering alcoholic beverages is to be pre- paid or paid at the time of delivery as a separate transaction from all other catering services. The Produce Station can provide professional bartending service staffing for all catered events. Please review service staffing costs section for costs and guidelines.
The client is responsible for securing liability event insurance coverage and for providing a copy of that policy to The Produce Station at least 3 working days prior to the event date. Should the client choose for The Produce Station to handle the alcoholic beverages, the client agrees to irrevocably and unconditionally release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Produce Station, its employees and contractors (individually and jointly) from any liability, illness, death, or injury sustained by any participant in connection with the service and consumption of any alcoholic beverage.

Allergen Statement
The label is the best source in determining what is in the product. If you are allergic or sensitive to certain foods or ingredients, you should always read the ingredient statement and any allergen statements to ensure the product does not contain ingredients of concern to you. Please ask us if you have specific concerns or questions. **Tree nuts and peanut oils are used in food production at our kitchen facility.

Rental Equipment
As a full-service caterer, we would love to take care of your rental equipment needs, and we have special discounts at many of the rental businesses in town. Changes and alterations in contracted rental items or service times may result in additional charges that are the responsibility of the client. Please note that the client is responsible for charges due to breakage, replacement, or missing items from your rental order.

Guest Count
We ask that you provide us with a final guest count and all of the event details no less than seven (7) days prior to your event date for all full-service catered events. Changes in final counts will be honored when possible and may be subject to additional costs. This final count will be the basis for calculation of your bill, regardless of the turnout or last minute cancellations. Please note that any changes in menu or guest count may result in an increase in your final bill.

Service Staff
The Produce Station can provide professional service staff and bartenders for all catered events. For bartending services, the cost is based on a minimum of a 5 hour shift at 25.00/hour/bartender. The cost for event service staff is $25.00/hour/server. The cost for chef-on-site service is $40.00/hour/chef. Billable time begins when staff arrive and begin to load food and equipment for your event and ends when they have returned, cleaned, and put away same. You will be given an estimate of service times and costs prior to event. Final service costs are based on actual hours worked and may differ from the estimate.

Service Charge
The Produce Station will add a 20% service charge, based on food and beverage costs only, to all invoices for service-staffed events.

Leftover Food
In compliance with local health department regulations, all leftover food will be removed and discarded by The Produce Station. Non- perishable items may be left with the host at the chef/event supervisor’s discretion. Credit is not issued for leftover food or unused items. The Produce Station works with several shelters, non-profits, and fraternal organizations to donate unused items to the less fortunate when possible.

Food Safety Advisory
Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, eggs, or menu items that may contain raw or undercooked items may increase the risk of a food-borne illness. The risk of a food-borne illness is greater for those who are young, elderly, pregnant, and/or those with a medical condition.

Food Safety for Deliveries, Drops, and Self-Service Catering Events
The client/host agrees to accept full responsibility for safe food handling. The menu and food items we provide to you will be safe for consumption for up to four hours after you receive your delivery. It is highly suggested that any perishable food not consumed within those four hours be disposed of properly. When a client agrees to catering services with The Produce Station, you are agreeing to take on this responsibility for safe food handling. This includes the responsibility to keep all food buffets the proper temperature for consumption, and we advise our clients to purchase additional ice, sterno fuel, and food pans for your order as needed. Your event planner can discuss food handling procedures in detail upon request.

Should the client choose for The Produce Station to handle the alcoholic beverages for your event, the client agrees to irrevocably and unconditionally release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Produce Station, its employees and contractors (individually and jointly) from any liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness, death, or injury sustained by any participant in connection with the service and consumption of any alcoholic beverages.
